I enjoyed the room, which was tidy and stocked. The breakfast was plentiful and great with honey and homemade jams, as example and the restaurant food was excellent. Location: the hotel was very close to a fabulous fresh water lake and Limoges and Angouleme. The staff was wonderful and excellent, I'm grateful for their help😀
Nothing for me!

From the beautiful floral wallpaper to the antique furniture, it felt like stepping into a country cottage. The general areas were equally delightful, with comfortable seating areas where I could relax and read a book. The hotel was also very accessible for senior people like myself, with no stairs to climb and everything conveniently located on the ground floor. It made my stay so much easier and enjoyable.
I would have appreciated if the children working there were a bit more attentive to the needs of senior guests. Sometimes it took a bit longer to get assistance or information, and a little extra care and attention would have made the vacation even better for senior people.

I absolutely loved the charming decor and cozy atmosphere of the hotel. The common areas were beautifully decorated with vintage furniture and lovely artwork, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. As a senior woman, I found the accessibility of the hotel to be excellent. The hallways and doorways were wide enough for me to comfortably navigate with my walker, and there were grab bars in the bathroom to ensure my safety. It was a welcoming and comfortable environment for senior guests like myself.
I would have liked to see more assistance available from the children working there. A bit more help with carrying luggage or offering a helping hand to older guests would have made the vacation even better for senior people.

We stayed at a charming bed and breakfast nestled in the heart of a national park, with a stunning lake just a stone's throw away. the room was beautifully decorated and came with a well-appointed ensuite bathroom. the hosts were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. the breakfast was nothing short of exceptional, with homemade jams and scones, and even poached eggs from their own hens. It was the perfect base for exploring the nearby lake and enjoying the tranquility of nature.
The Wi-Fi connection was a bit unreliable at times.

The room at Les Trois Chènes was amazing! It had these charming wooden beams and exposed-stone walls that gave it so much character. And the view was breathtaking - I could see the fields and the ancient church of Videix right from the window. It was so spacious, I felt like I had my own little retreat.
Personally, I wasn't a big fan of the exposed-stone walls in the room. But hey, that's just me.
